Welcome To Alpha Male Romance!

Alpha Males Only!
First of all, I want to say thank you for stopping by today and welcome to my new alpha male romance review website. My name is Lisa and I am a wife and mother of 3 girls and I live in Pennsylvania where I work from home as a writer and marketer.

One of my passions, past times, and guilty pleasures is reading fiction. I was an avid reader for most of my life until I started having my children and then I got REALLY busy and I think I also started trying to numb myself a little when I was stressed by watching tv instead of reading. (I had my girls really close together without realizing the full magnitude of what that was going to mean:) Plus, I had just launched my new business and I always felt guilty for trying to start a new fiction book. I always thought I needed to be reading some sort of business, marketing, etc. book. So I would buy books but never read them.

To be perfectly honest, I fell back in love with reading for pleasure and not just magazines or non-fiction for business when Stephenie Meyers first published Twilight. I read a review of the book in People Magazine and something was sparked. I bought the book, read it, and then something switched. I became absolutely addicted to romance, but not just any romance, as I read more the books that I re-read and loved had to have a very alpha hero or antihero.

Those are the stories that put a smile on my face. Those are the books that I share with friends and talk about online over at Amazon or Goodreads. Trouble is - is that not everyone has this particular requirement for their fiction. So it's been hard finding the types of books that I like to read. I've seen a couple of tags or lists come up on Amazon and Goodreads that feature alpha males but the list was definitely -- questionable. I feel like every new supernatural romance was on the list.

When I'm looking for a book, it can be women's contemporary, YA, or erotica. Depending on the genre, when I'm looking for a hero or antihero, I am looking for someone who is protective, strong, jealous, possessive, a leader, attractive, sexual, will fight if necessary. My alpha male doesn't necessarily have to be wealthy, but money makes it easier for him to throw his weight around. My alpha male doesn't need to have sex in a YA book, but the heroine better want to only have sex with him when the time comes:)

Look for my first review shortly..
